The National | Sorrow [unofficial video]
Sorrow found me when I was young
Sorrow waited, sorrow won
Sorrow they put me on the bill
It’s in my honey, it’s in my milk
Don’t leave my hyper heart alone on the water
Cover me in rag and bone sympathy
‘cause I don’t wanna get over you
I don’t wanna get over you
Sorrow’s my body on the waves
Sorrow’s a girl inside my cave
I live in a city sorrow built
It’s in my honey, it’s in my milk
Don’t leave my hyper heart alone on the water
Cover me in rag and bone sympathy
‘cause I don’t wanna get over you
I don’t wanna get over you
Don’t leave my hyper heart alone on the water
Cover me in rag and bone sympathy
‘cause I don’t wanna get over you
I don’t wanna get over you
If songs could be happy for the fact of being written, this one would certainly be. (:

I thought that at some point I should mention that, incase anyone thinks that I’m insulting the artist or their fans, I probably am insulting them but more likely than not I’m also a massive fan so really I’m insulting myself, so that = self-depreciation = OK (yay!).
The point in the picture above was in no way that National fans are boring (certainly not), but that they are practical people, for whom a weekly grocery shop is an important part of their relationship.
Of course it’s important.
How else can we get our coffee to live on? And flowers? And honey? And milk? And cake to eat when you live alone? And cherries? And a big slice of lemon? And lemonade? And a little something to put in our lemonade???
!!!!!!!!
THIS.
Except I hate going grocery shopping by myself. I love going with other people though.
THIS is way too relevant for me to even

The National — Slow Show
The National. forever.
while I was leaving my mom at her work place, as always, I put some of my music.
I put on The National, “Conversation 16” starts playing and she says: ” I love that song”… suddenly my day couldn’t start better. That made me smile from ear to ear.
I told her: “Really?! That’s one of my favorites from that cd”. She asks me his name and I tell her and also I briefly tell her about how Matt Berninger sang that one in Lollapalooza and my state of being at the moment and all.
She then says: “I like it a lot. I’ve heard it so much”. That made me laugh.
Since I’ve been playing on loop the “Alligator” and ” High Violet” cd all over since a loooong time before Lolla.
I’m so happy. =)
My mother likes The National. <3
